BlogFest.Asia 2010 is in town! This year’s blogger festival doesn’t only attract fellow participants from Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam Indonesia Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore, but bloggers from the United States as well! This invaluable get-together is the very first time our beloved city – Unesco Heritage Site, Georgetown hosts such a grand-scale event for bloggers, and we at Exabytes are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this!
While we are extremely honored to be one of the sponsors for this momentous event, we are also elated that our overseas participating bloggers are in for an exciting visit to this historic island.
The 2010 BlogFest.Asia kick started on 1st Oct with a city tour around our Unesco Heritage Site, Georgetown which brought us around its well known historic tourist spots such as Chew Jetty, Cheong Fatt Sze Mansion, Khoo Kongsi. At the end of the tour, our curious bloggers were treated to the mouth-watering Penang local delicacies at New World Park, Jalan Burmah.
Check out some of the snapshots taken during the city tour:
At night, the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia was eager to show its guests the warmest hospitality by housing a sumptuous dinner at QE2, Church Street Pier.
Take a look at the joyful atmosphere and some of the gluttonous faces that night:
The dinner with free flow of food and bottomless drinks gave all the bloggers the chance to mingle around and share all their experiences among one another especially bloggers from the foreign lands who were really excited for this Asian blogger festival.
As the first day of event wrapped up in a classy manner, many of us couldn’t wait to attend the seminars and workshops which fell on the second day.
Wawasan Open University, also one of the sponsors for this event, was the venue of these informative workshops and seminars. Door gifts in goodies bags were seen in the morning at registration counters as numerous participants were queuing up earnestly to register and claim their free gifts.
This was followed by the welcome speech by our organizers and the long-awaited seminars and workshops.
Subsequently, the second day of the event was concluded by the Award Giving Ceremony of 2010 Mybloggercon Award.
On the very last day of the event, the itinerary started with sharing of experiences from bloggers in the theater hall of Wawasan Open University.
So long, BlogFest.Asia 2010, and we look forward with full anticipation to BlogFest.Asia 2011!
