In conjunction with World Congress of Information Technology (WCIT), MIRC has organized the MIRC e-SMEs Week 2008 from 13th – 15th May 2008 at Wisma MCA, Kuala Lumpur. Being one of the leading IT enterprises in Malaysia, Exabytes has taken initiative to participate as vendor in this meaningful event.

This event was targeted at 50 participants from all over Malaysia especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Small Office Home Office (SOHO). This year, MIRC organized its eSMEs Week 2008, which was a series of activities that filled with e-contents – MIRC e-Enablement Workshops, IT Training Program (Powered by XTrain), and MIRC e-SMEs Program 2008.

Day 1 and day 2 consist of knowledge enriching talks to SME and SOHO, such as online marketing strategies, advice for supply chain management, ERP knowledge to improve business productivity, Google Adwords tips and online payment gateways from some experienced outrunners in IT industry. The informative talks have infused audiences with the rich online businesses tips extracted from the speakers’ successful experience.

On day 3, the event was carried on with MIRC e-SME Program 2008. The MIRC e-SME Program 2008 included activities such as low cost hardware and software showcase and e-Business talks. In low cost hardware and software showcase, a group of IT vendors and e-Enablement Partners, including Exabytes were offering hardware products and solutions at subsidized or discounted rate during the MIRC e-SMEs Week 2008. Participants were able to get good bargains on hardware and software that are suitable for their businesses.

In addition, MIRC has invited some experienced experts in IT industry, such as Hanson Toh from Google, Adrian Oh from Neowave and Chris Tan from eBay, to share with participants in developing their online businesses and also to understand the e-commerce issues. With these inspiring talks, participants have received detailed information on procedures and guidelines for enhance their skills in developing online businesses and utilize the online platform to market their products or services smartly.
